The Pipeline: October 2026

The forward ledger of major defense contracts approaching recompete: $444B across 1,231 contracts through September 2028, the 140 rows that left the board this month, and what happened when we re-checked every date we published in September.

Last month this desk wrote off an $18.1 billion Boeing contract. The award record said its period of performance had ended in June, so we reported the row closed and called it a ghost.

It is back. Both surfaces of the record now put N0001914C0067 at April 30, 2027, near the front of the board.

Between March 30, 2027 and September 17, 2028, $444.1 billion of Department of Defense prime-contract value reaches its current end of period. The board holds 1,231 contracts.

That is the ledger: every DoD prime contract above a $50 million floor whose period of performance ends 6 to 24 months out, refreshed this morning.

It gained 26 contracts and $30.3 billion since the last edition. 166 rows joined and 140 left.

A current end date is where the clock runs out unless somebody acts, and it carries no promise that anybody will.

Half the work of maintaining this thing is finding out which of those clocks tell the truth.

The rest of this brief is for subscribers.

The specific solicitations, dockets, and dates to act on sit past this line.
