A sources sought synopsis went up on SAM at 12:19 p.m. Eastern on Tuesday, July 28, announcing the government's intent to modify a Fort Jackson dining contract on a sole source basis. Capability statements were due at noon that Friday.
Nobody unseated an incumbent in seventy-two hours over the last weekend in July.
So on Friday, Aug. 28 the modification signed, and Monday's Pentagon board printed it.
Eleven Dining Facilities, Three Days to Object
The contract is W9124C-25-D-A003, held by the South Carolina Commission for the Blind, which the notice identifies as the State Licensing Agency. The scope is full food services at eleven Army dining facilities at Fort Jackson: receiving, storing, preparing, requisitioning, serving.
It was signed Aug. 27, 2025 and ran one year, to Aug. 31, 2026.

The modification added $180,000,000 against a prior face value of $100,000,000, taking the total to $280,000,000. One bid solicited, one received.
Estimated completion moves to March 3, 2029.
