$480 Million Moved and Nothing Left the Board
Three contracts on our expiration pipeline took modifications this week and not one of them got a later end date. Plus an AFRL order still absorbing money 544 days after its GSA vehicle's period ended, thirty offers on an Air Combat Command cyber IDIQ, and two SBIR Phase III awards placed in a single afternoon.
The Aug. 27 and Aug. 28 boards moved three contracts sitting on our expiration pipeline. All three got bigger. None of them got later.
"Does new money on a tracked contract ever buy the incumbent more runway?"
The three took $480,178,064 between them, and every one still carries a period-of-performance end date identical to the one on its award record before the announcement (chart below).
Worth separating the two signals, because they answer different questions:
- The money tells you the requirement is alive and funded.
- The end date tells you when you get to bid it.
