Between the end of January 2027 and July 2028, $437 billion of Department of Defense prime-contract value reaches its current end of period.
That number comes from our forward ledger: every DoD prime contract above a $50 million floor whose period of performance ends 6 to 24 months out, pulled from the public award record and maintained continuously. As of this edition the ledger holds 1,197 contracts.
This is The Pipeline, the monthly edition built on that ledger. Every month we publish the board, what joined and what left, and the two or three entries where the record is actually moving.
As tracked recompetes get decided, the scoreboard (incumbent held or flipped, protest or clean) accumulates alongside it.
A current end date is not an award date and it is not a promise. It is where the clock runs out unless somebody acts: exercise an option, write a bridge, or run a competition.
Watching where those end dates stack is the closest thing this industry has to a tide chart.
