How Twenty Contracts Become Three
The Army told industry on Monday that more than twenty legacy SETA and fielding contracts at Aberdeen are being folded into three enterprise vehicles. The notice names no contract, no incumbent, no dollar figure and no deadline. The award record supplies all four.
Monday at 11:49 in the morning, Aberdeen posted a special notice announcing that more than twenty of its support contracts are going to stop existing.
The notice names none of them. No incumbent, no dollar value, no solicitation number, no response deadline.
It archives on December 31 and asks nobody for anything.
Which leaves one question worth an afternoon:
"If the announcement sets no dates, what does?"
The answer sits one line into section 4, and it hands you the entire schedule.
A notice that asks for nothing
The poster is CPE C2IN, the Capability Program Executive Command and Control Information Network, the Army's tactical network portfolio at Aberdeen Proving Ground. It runs under NAICS 541330, 541611 and 541990, which is to say engineering services, management consulting, and the catch-all professional bucket.
What it announces is a "phased consolidation of portions of more than twenty (20) disparate legacy SETA and fielding contracts" into three enterprise-level vehicles:
- Business/Operations/Administrative Support
- Fielding, Property, Field Support, and Training
- Product Support
The rationale is the familiar one. C2IN wants to "eliminate functional redundancies" and "drive operational efficiencies", and describes what it has now as "operational silos and administrative friction".
Pillar I exists, in the notice's own words, to "standardize administrative standard operating procedures (SOPs) and streamline business management operations".
Hold onto that phrasing. It decides the hard part later.

The specific solicitations, dockets, and dates to act on sit past this line.
$50 a month, or $500 a year.
