How Five Army Posts Came Up for Recompete at Once
One MICC field directorate office is recompeting base operations at five Army installations. Three are solicited, two of them want proposals at the same hour on November 13, and every incumbent is running on a bridge or a vehicle that dies in the first five weeks of 2027. At two of the five, the set-aside changed.
If you chase Army installation support, one contracting office just wrote your November.
The MICC Field Directorate Office at Fort Sam Houston has three base operations recompetes on the street at the same time.
Fort Benning went out September 30. Fort Stewart and Fort Leonard Wood both posted yesterday, six hours apart.
Two of the three want proposals at the same hour.
Benning (W5168W26RA015) and Stewart (W5168W26RA014) each close November 13 at 19:00Z, and each lists the same contract specialist as primary point of contact. Leonard Wood (W5168W26RA011) closes four days earlier, November 9 at 20:00Z.
All three are NAICS 561210, PSC S216, out of SAM organization 500176885.
That is 37 days to two of them and 33 to the third.
Three Posts, Three Incumbents, Three Bridges
None of the three installations is being run on the contract that was supposed to be running it.
Fort Benning's BASOPS award to Tiya Services (W911SF19C0024, $333,142,007 obligated) ended August 31, 2025, four hundred and two days ago. A bridge carried the work to June 30 this year with no option runway left on it. A second bridge, W911SF26CA009, titled "BASOPS BRIDGE FY26" in the record, picked up the next morning and runs to March 31, 2027. One offer, coded "only one source."
Fort Leonard Wood's predecessor to Tsay Professional Services (W911S720C0004, $151,460,748) ended April 20. The replacement is W911S726CA003, described in FPDS as "bridge for facilities maintenance contract W911S7-20-C-0004."
One offer, extent competed coded C, and the authority cited is unusual and compelling urgency.
Fort Stewart is the tidy one, and only by comparison.
Pegasus Support Services holds orders under IDIQ W9124M20D0001, and the order before the current one is titled, in full, "-8 extension for FSHA base operations contract." Extension eight.
